Children and Faith

Life can be funny at times and other times it can be scary or even life can remind you to slow down once in awhile. And not rush rush rush to places that you want to go and see but to just stand still and take in the beauty of nature all around you that G-d has planted and grown.
This summer up here in Minocqua has taught me many things plus help me improve other skills that are essential in order for "civil life" to occur. Such as listening, I thought I was a good listener but now since I am gone from home, I wished I would have listened and understood more. I would many times hear someone say something and not actually look at what they are trying to telling me.
I also learned or relearned to enjoy more of the simple stuff as when I was a small kid that I enjoy immensely, but then forgotten or thought was stupid. It took me to move in with some of my friends up here who have a three-year-old daughter that remind me more of the fun I had when I was little; than I do as I got older.
The main point what I'm trying to say is that it astonishes me how much more faith and trust a kid has than what I have. Remember the bible says all you need is faith as small as a mustard seed and you can move a mountain. Unfortunatly I had lost that faith years ago without even realizing what was happening. It took a three-year-old child to show me what I had lost.
Now I want it back the faith that I lost! I am determined to get it back! I always knew G-d worked in mysterious ways, Plus G-d also usually works through children because they have not forgotten and lost their faith in the trap the devil lays.
So next time when you need faith look at a child and remember you to had that faith and still can.
Out of all that is happening there is one thing for sure G-d is not done up here in Minocqua and I am planning to stay to bare witness to what He does.

The Perfect Lifestyle

Son,
Go meekly around the noise and hate that may surround you, and remember what peace there is in silence and prayer.
As far as possible, without comprising self, be on good terms with all people, they too are a child of God.
Speaking your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant, for they too have their own story.
Avoid loud and aggressive people; they are vexatious to the Spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there are greater and lesser people than thyself, you should only compare yourself to the Heavenly Father.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your failures, keep interested in your own career choices, however humble; it is a real possession in the service of the Creator.
Exercises caution in business affairs for the world is full of trickery; but let this not blind you, but send you into prayer; many people strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism you only need to look for it and recognize it when you see it.
Be yourself; especially do not pretend affection, neither be cynical about love; for in the face of disenchantment. it is as green as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years respecting your elders for they have experience more life than you.
Nurturing strength in your spirit will shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not allow yourself imaginings, taking every thought captive; for many fears are born from fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond wholesome discipline be gentle with yourself for you are a child of the King; no less then the any other of God’s creation therefore be at peace with God in the noisy confusion of your life.
Keep peace with your soul even in broken dreams, for it is still a beautiful world, so strive to be happy and cheerful being all you were meant to be.

Rules For Life

Son, as you make your way through lifes path:
Rules For Life
1. Focus – pay attention to what you are doing.
2. Self Control – think before you act
3. Practice only what you want to keep – habits are easy to get, hard to break
4. Make a Decision – get the best info you can get, make a decision, and stand by it.
5. Be Honest – it is easier than trying to remember the lies.
6. Be Honorable – do what you say and say what you mean.
7. Be On Time – if you are early you are eager, if you are late you are rude.
8. Finish what you start – You are wasting your time if you don’t finish
9. Be Courteous/Respectful – Then people will be more willing to help you.
10. Prioritize – Do what is most important first down to least important

Connections

If you remember awhile ago I posted a thing on blessings how people when they bless someone when they sneeze becomes so ritual a person may not even realize that they are saying it, basically it is an empty blessing.
Today I found couple verses on what God thinks about those types of blessings.
Malachi 2:1-2
"And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to my name, Says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart."

My Boy

You have been the joy of my life! You were born at my lowest time,
when life seem to pass me by, I only wanted to live long enough to hold
you in my arms. But when my eyes beheld you, I felt a purpose to live
and watch you grow.
And grow you did, into a fine young man whom I am very proud of. There
has seem to be a bonding between us right from the beginning that is
unbreakable. Nothing is too good for my boy!
When I am here no more, I wish to leave you my mantel, (calling into preaching and teaching
G-d’s Word).
Be all that He has design you to be, walking into the fullness of His calling,
and giving Him all the glory and thanks. With this mantel comes responsibility, wear it well, my son.
I leave to you All my collage books, the Bible tapes and disk for your use in your own research - feel free to add your own information as you study.
Loving you galore Bubbie
