Echo Point

When I was up at Pound, WI, sitting quietly at the lake I noticed an echo point that had a characteristic that really stood out. It seemed to be a loner, yet surrounded by many others of its kind, but this one stood out as if defining its own personality.
There were four distinct parts to itself: It was a humble looking birch tree that stood tall and lankly, its head held high as if reaching out for the truth of life’s mysteries.
Its branches were fanning out in many directions; one could easily tell the sun smiled on it first.
This birch tree doesn’t back down to the storms of life, but could hold its own ground. All dress in white showing much wisdom that seems to pour forth – a definite purity about it.
There are foreign creatures keeping their distance from the Echo, all seem to be heading in the opposite direction. Seeming to have a different spirit than the Echo, and wanted to be as far away from it as possible.
All else looks at peace under the watchful spirit of the echo point.
How do you stand straight and tall for the truth?

Clear Water

I was up north on the lake called Ranch Lake and what struck me by surprise was how clear the water was. I mean the water was so clear you could see right to the bottom and see the life going on underneath the surface. The turtles walking / gliding from place to place and the frogs swiming and hopping. Seeing schools of minnows swimming in sink with one another, not leaving one fish behind if there is danger.
Then it occured to me that what would happen if someone thrown a rock or dropped a rock in the water, so of course I tried it and what had happen is that all the dust on the bottom started to rise and swirl in the water. I knew that would happen I wanted to see what the lake creatures would do when I did it. They scattered! They where not sure what this forign object was that risen the dust. When all was calm again it surprised me that the schools of fish where hiding under the dust while all the other creatures disappeared.
Slowsly the creatures came back so I tried it again - same thing happened. I did this three more times and the same thing basically happened with little variation . I came to the conclusion that the little fish knew where to go to be safe in the water, so they did not have to be afraid while all the other sea creatures fled right away because this was new to them. Every instink instinct told them to flee so they did.
What I am trying to say is this: That strong Christians are like fish they may get scared but they won't flee because they know that G-d will protect them, or give them a shelter. Non-believers would run because they do not believe that they will be protected by the Almighty. They run or swim away, scatteiring as fast as they can.
So be like the school of little fish, not the other fish and you will know that you are safe no matter what life throws your way!!
