When I was up at Pound, WI, sitting quietly at the lake I noticed an echo point that had a characteristic that really stood out. It seemed to be a loner, yet surrounded by many others of its kind, but this one stood out as if defining its own personality.
There were four distinct parts to itself: It was a humble looking birch tree that stood tall and lankly, its head held high as if reaching out for the truth of life’s mysteries.
Its branches were fanning out in many directions; one could easily tell the sun smiled on it first.
This birch tree doesn’t back down to the storms of life, but could hold its own ground. All dress in white showing much wisdom that seems to pour forth – a definite purity about it.
There are foreign creatures keeping their distance from the Echo, all seem to be heading in the opposite direction. Seeming to have a different spirit than the Echo, and wanted to be as far away from it as possible.
All else looks at peace under the watchful spirit of the echo point.
How do you stand straight and tall for the truth?

It is amazing how you observe the creations God has put before your eyes. He also has put interest and meaning in all that you come acrossed. It is good to pick apart all that comes before your eyes and see that it lines up with God's truth. Keep up the good work and always listen to the inner voice that is explaining all that is flowing into your life. May you come back and observe the many other beautiful things around here.
The birch also has a type of bark that peels off after a time, and if you look at what is underneath the freshly peeled strip you will see a new, young, vibrant one just waiting for it's turn in the sun. The older one was simply protecting the new one until it was the new one's turn to now be the protector of the tree for a season.
Similar to how life is and how one generation passes the torch to the next one to protect the earth and all those that follow behind them. For a season.
Great job J.
